Our Four Favorite Knitting Blogs
I’m not really a good knitter – I feel as though I have unraveled more mistakes than I have finished actual projects. But that’s okay! There are plenty of aspirational blogs to follow — to pick up a few tips and tricks and download some neat free patterns too. Here our four of our favorite knit and purl heroes!
This is one of the top blogs to check out for fun knitting projects and stories surrounding a crafty life. This is also a great blog to visit if you want free patterns. If you happen to love cats, Wendy Knits will surely delight you.
Tin Can Knits is the design collaboration of Alexa and Emily. Alexa lives in Canada and Emily lives in Scotland, and although they are separated by time and distance, they are united by a passion for knitting and design. Due to their backgrounds in design, many of their knitting patterns reflect geometric shapes and architectural-style details that modern knitters will love.
Purl’s mission (yes, her name really is Purl!) has been to bring together lovers of all needlecrafts, those people who feel an appreciation for beauty and exceptional design, natural fibers and crafting traditions. The beautiful photography will inspire you to get knitting as soon as possible, and their online store is a great resource for yarns and needles.
Glenna became a knitter many years ago while studying for my PhD, as a form of stress relief and distraction. It has since brought a lot of great projects and people into her life. Besides knitting, we find a lot of inspiration from the way Glenna turns stress-relief onto a fun and rewarding experience.
